What to expect in a session

Once we have established how I can help you with reflexology, you will be made comfortable in a reclining chair or bed and asked to remove your shoes and socks only.  Your feet will be cleaned and you’ll be offered an optional eye mask and wrapped in a blanket.  You can then relax and enjoy your treatment - it is perfectly normal to fall asleep!  After the session we can discuss any areas of sensitivity found in the feet.  These are nothing to worry about and are just a reflection of imbalances in the body.

One session will help balance and de-stress your system, but it may take a course of four to five to achieve optimal outcomes and positive change. For the first treatment only, a complimentary extra 15 minutes will be required for a brief and confidential medical and lifestyle history - to enable the best treatment.

Aftercare advice

Following reflexology it is normal to feel rested and revived. However, you may experience mild reactions due to the release of toxins and improved energy flow in your body.  This is perfectly normal and a sign that the treatment is working.  These include:

  • Headaches

  • Thirst

  • Increased urination

  • Fatigue

  • Heightened emotions

Symptoms should pass quickly, but to minimise reactions and get the most out of your treatment it is advisable to drink lots of water, avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours and to rest and relax.
